Art, Nature and Volunteering inspired Palos Verdes Peninsula (LA) and Ceramiche Piccadilly Amalfi Coast
We do really want to share with all our worldwide customers this amazing volunteer organization located in Los Angeles, California, the Palos Verdes Peninsula.
The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is the only nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and restoring the Peninsula’s natural lands, rare wildlife and coastal beauty for the benefit of its communities.
They do have such a great story:
In 1988, a small but committed group of eleven concerned Peninsula residents founded a volunteer organization with a clear goal: To preserve natural lands in perpetuity on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. These dedicated residents worked with willing sellers to ensure this hidden coastal gem would be forever protected. As the result of their work and continued collaboration with local governments, willing landowners and trusted community partners, the Conservancy has preserved and continues to protect 1,700 acres of natural land across the Peninsula, including 42 miles of public trails.
The Conservancy is committed to protecting and restoring the Peninsula’s unique local habitats that sustain rare and endangered species, including helping to lead the recovery of the endangered Palos Verdes Blue Butterfly, which is found only on the Palos Verdes Peninsula and was once thought extinct.
In partnership with Terranea Resort, Ceramiche Piccadilly and generous sponsors, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy presents this signature event: Palos Verdes Pastoral Garden-to-Table Dining Event
October 2nd will be a special day to celebrate the launch of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Naturalist Certification Program with an evening inspired by the charm of the Amalfi Coast, the beauty of our handmade artworks made by our very talented artists and the biodiversity of the Mediterranean climate zone which Palos Verdes shares. The event will introduce a new Naturalist Certification Program that will foster stewardship, education, and conservation on the Peninsula. Guests will enjoy flavours of the Mediterranean, curated menu and wine pairings inspired by both Amalfi and California native ingredients.
We, Ceramiche Piccadilly, are exciting to sponsor and to join this event in person in LA (news, updates and surprises will come soon) next month.
